- Will Galvanized Iron Wire Rust?Galvanized iron wire can rust. Although the zinc coating provides some anti-corrosion protection, it cannot completely prevent rusting. Galvanized iron wire is prone to rust under the following conditions:High-Humidity Environments: In humid air, moisture can cause the zinc coating to absorb water, accelerating electrochemical corrosion of the zinc layer and leading to rust on the iron wire.
- Production Process of Galvanized WireFirst, qualified molten iron is produced through iron smelting and steelmaking processes. The molten iron is then cast into iron billets via casting or continuous casting. These billets undergo rolling to form thick sheets, which are then drawn into elongated iron wires. This entire process is termed wire manufacturing.
