Gabion box are wire containers made of hexagonal wire netting or Welded mesh. The woven gabion box consist of a series hexagonal wire netting, which flexible to be used into different settlement applications. Welded mesh gabion box consist of square and/or rectangular welded wire mesh, which widely used landscape applications. Put crushed rocks into gabion box and lay it as wall or bank. It is used as drapery system to prevent rocks and debris from falling onto roads and railways.

Gabion mattress is one type of gabion box. Due to their flexible and porous characteristic, it is able to absorb wave and wind energy, reducing the scour problems associated with river and sea defenses. Gabion mattress also can be placed on sloping hill sides or as a base for vertical walls, which stack courses of gabion box.

Gabion box is supplied folded flat and packed in bundles. To make sure all panels are in correct position, The units are assembled individually by erecting the sides, ends and diaphragms.
